Personal Opinion for News in This Class
Through the whole quarter, we find news,
share news, discuss news, and write for news. We did a lot of writing for the
news influences and even the media influence. I think engage in news is a
really good habits for college students because reading news can help us have a
open mind to think about the daily event and also can know how does news
influence our lives.
As for the change after reading news, I
think the biggest change is training me to care about the news more than
before. I get news always from the Facebook or talks with friends, and some
news are not objective and some are just opinions. When I start get news from The
New York Times this quarter, I think I tend to get news more objective and I
believe the evidences more than non-evidence news.
It is really important for students for
future study to reading because we need to care about news and get knowledge
from world news. We need to be the global person.
One thing I want to talks about this section
is I really like the discussion with news, but a lot of times, when people
share news, there are less people engage in talking except professor.
I think each course, we can choose one or two interesting news for
students to discuss, to make this section like a whole class discussion.
I like your idea, Yao, about setting up a more structured news discussion at the beginning of the class. I think that could help get more people involved.
